Mr. Sohan Roy S K is a vibrant personality who not only believes in dreams but turns them into reality.

Born in 1967, he had started his career as a Naval Architect and is now the CEO of Aries Group, the world class group of diversified independent firms and Marine BizTV, the first global maritime TV channel.

Known for his innovative as well as creative ideas, Sohan Roy has marked his place in Limca Book of World Records and Guinness Book of World Records for his pioneering invention the first longest steel snake boat, Aries Punnnamada Chundan. Yet another invention is BOTEL (Backwater Operated Tourist Entertainment Launch), the first solar powered steel houseboat and an asset to Kerala Tourism.

Over the years, he has attained a high expertise in the fields of Naval Architecture, Surveys and Non Destructive Testing.  His rare expertise in the field of both Naval Architecture  and Marine Engineering with sailing experience enables him to interface with Clients and Classification Societies regarding any problems and to ensure that effective action is taken.

 Pursuing great heights in professional side, Sohan Roy has never left his passion for creativity. Sohan Roy has proved himself in various fields as an artist, actor, lyricist and even as a director. He has written songs for two Malayalam movies named Vacation and K.K. Road and for six Music Albums.

Some of the other creative works include Aries Creations, the Research and Development Program in visual media to promote youth and various international maritime events like SHIPTEK’08, MASTECH’08, MAST, MARITIME CULTURAL OLYMPICS, BOAT INDIA’ 08 and so on. Mr. Roy recently launched his promising directorial venture DAM 999, the first Hollywood movie by the mariners, which will be in theaters soon.
